Request for Real-Time Search Integration in ChatGPT-4

Feature Request

I would like to suggest the implementation of a feature that enables the model to perform real-time searches when it cannot find information within its existing knowledge base. This is particularly important when using ChatGPT-4 or ChatGPT-4o, as the standard GPT-4 allows for such functionality to avoid situations where answers are unavailable due to limitations in the uploaded knowledge base.

    @Ali Mahdi Yes, that’s correct. Unlike GPT-3, which was limited to knowledge up to 2023, GPT-4/4o includes browsing capabilities. This allows it to provide answers based on current information. With this feature, even if specific data hasn’t been added to the knowledge base, GPT-4/4o can still provide answers as it would in normal use. Thank you.

    Thanks for your feedback. To clarify, do you mean the AI should answer from its own knowledge if it doesn't find an answer from the knowledge base you've created?
