Connect a WhatsApp Business app" option missing in Coexistence flow
Hi Chatling Team, Following your April 3rd Changelog about WhatsApp Coexistence, we tried setting it up but hit a blocker. We followed the exact steps: Deleted the number from Meta's WhatsApp Manager. Set up the number on the native WhatsApp Business app. Initiated the reconnection via Chatling. The Issue: During the Meta embedded signup, the option "Connect a WhatsApp Business app" does NOT appear for our +972 (Israel) number. We only see the old "Add a new number" option, which forces SMS verification and fails with a "Number already in use" error. Questions: Is this a known Meta limitation specifically for the +972 region? Is there a workaround to enable this feature for our account? Thanks, Koby
Error 3239 when adding KB in Chatling
We are experiencing an issue when trying to add content to the Knowledge Base (KB) in Chatling. For all companies created in the past week, it is not possible to add any type of KB (files or text). Every attempt results in the following error: "An error occurred (CODE: 3239)" The error happens consistently, regardless of the type of content being uploaded. Important details: The issue affects all newly created companies Other chatbots outside this scenario are working normally The failure occurs in 100% of attempts We need assistance to identify the root cause and resolve this issue as soon as possible.
Greeting Message section - agent icon shown only on last message when multiple messages are added
Description: In the Greeting Message section ("The messages that will be shown at the beginning of the chat"), when adding multiple greeting messages, the chat agent icon appears only next to the last message. The earlier messages do not display the agent icon. This creates a visual inconsistency in the chat UI, as the first messages appear misaligned compared to the last one. Steps to reproduce: Go to the Greeting Message section Add more than one greeting message Open the chat preview Actual result: Only the last greeting message shows the chat agent icon Expected result: Either: the agent icon should be displayed next to all greeting messages, or the layout should include consistent spacing/alignment where the icon would normally appear (similar to messaging platforms like Facebook Messenger) Additional notes: The current behavior feels visually inconsistent and may confuse users Screenshots attached for reference AI Agent: Facbook Messenger example layout:
Blocking Issue: Triggering Flow via API & Accessibility Roadmap Update
Hi Chatling Team, We are developing a custom chat frontend using your API v2 to adhere to strict WCAG accessibility standards, as the native widget is not yet compliant. We are facing two major issues: 1. Technical Blocker (API v2): We are unable to trigger a Flow (Playbook) via the API. Even when sending specific trigger keywords associated with an Intent, the API ignores the Flow logic and returns a generic Knowledge Base response. Question: Is there a specific parameter or method to force the API to bypass the KB and execute a structured Flow? 2. Accessibility Roadmap: We raised the issue regarding the native widget's accessibility a few months ago, and it was added to your roadmap. Question: What is the current ETA for full accessibility support in the native widget? Looking forward to your quick guidance. Best regards, Koby
"conversations" list is hard to navigate
The list of conversations cannot be navigated without clicking each one. The short text in the left column contains useless information (most commonly text from the bot or something like “chat ended”). It would be useful if this short text snippet instead listed the first user query - and ideally if users were grouped (“anonymous” is too vague, a returning visitor could just show a number to help group queries from the same browser).
Help button in the "builder" page links to a 404 page
When you click “help”, https://docs.chatling.ai/builder/overview shows a 404 error
The variable name is reserved and cannot be used
Using the AI Chatbot builder, I can no longer create a form using the system variables. For example, if I attempt to save the user’s name as {contact_name} I’m met with a warning that says “The variable name is reserved and cannot be used“ — since contact_name can’t be used, I’m using a custom variable “user_name” — the problem is, while this value can be stored in “contacts” it does not populate in the system’s “conversations” — all conversation user names are now “Anonymous User”
Differences between locale and Language
There is a system variable called “locale” with the following description: “The user’s browser locale, such as en-US, en-CA, fr-FR, pt-BR, etc.” There is also a “Language condition” building block that is “based on the user’s preferred language setting in their browser.” I’ve had several occasions where greeting the user using locale and then using a hard-coded output via language condition created a mix of languages. I’ve tested it and both browser language and preferred language where identical. The bug seems to be that these are not consistent.
Unable to update variables with SDK setVariables
I’m trying to use the widget SDK to update some variables using the setVariables function. The function returns success and I can see the network call to chatling.ai to call the svv endpoint. This call contains the correct data and includes the variable names and new values. The call returns a success but the variables are never updated in the chats. It looks like the backend is ignoring these new values for some reason.
Under User Info - Location not capturing
Since 19th July 2025, the location is coming blank under user info in Conversation Tab. Please check.
AI Generated Responses stored in Variables don't get saved
Title. I am using chatling + Claude.ai + Google Sheet as database to create a carbon footprint calculator. Flow is generally Question→ AI response → Stored in Variable (Say transportation) → Upload to Google Sheets The issue lies in the AI response variable. I can confirm that without the AI response that the variable can be uploaded to Google sheets, but with it, it doesnt. AI Response Setting: Workflow The value should be 82.97 and uses the {TransportationCalc} Variable Hope to get a resolution to this
